Ranged cleanup
Archer
Archers take one housing space and can attack ground and air targets. Their range helps with exposed buildings, but they have little margin for defensive fire.
Plan the attack
- Look for outside buildings reachable without stepping into the nearest defense’s range.
- Place only enough Archers for each cleanup job, keeping some for a building left behind at the end.
Common mistake
Sending Archers under a splash defense because the target building looks easy. Range from the building is not range from the defense.
Works alongside
Giants can draw defensive attention while Archers work behind them. Keep spacing so one splash hit does not catch the whole support group.
Before prioritising an upgrade
Archer upgrades make sense for armies and abilities that use them. Check the exact army before moving them ahead of the troops doing most of its damage.
