Flying defense damage

Balloon

Balloons fly toward defenses and drop bombs. Their defense priority makes the next target important: a bad route can move them through heavy anti-air fire.

Plan the attack

  1. Trace a sequence of defenses from the entry toward the objective and clear the edges that could split the group.
  2. Keep protection and movement spells for the sections where Balloons will be exposed. Save cleanup troops for buildings they bypass.

Common mistake

Counting surviving Balloons as finished cleanup. They prefer defenses, so other troops may be needed for remaining buildings.

Lava Hound
Lava Hound

Lava Hounds draw attention from Air Defenses while Balloons damage defenses. Their routes can differ, so check both before deploying.

Before prioritising an upgrade

For a Balloon army, review Balloon research with its protection and movement spells. Army success also depends on route and deployment, not just level.
