Lava Hound
Lava Hounds seek Air Defenses and split into Lava Pups when destroyed. Their purpose in an air attack is to take fire while damage troops remove defenses.
Plan the attack
- Identify which Air Defense the Hound will reach first and plan the accompanying Balloon path.
- Watch when the Hound changes target or breaks into Pups. Keep the damage group progressing rather than leaving it behind the tank.
Common mistake
Sending a Hound to one side while Balloons travel through unprotected defenses on the other.
Works alongside
Balloons supply the defensive damage while the Hound takes Air Defense fire. Check that both deployment points produce compatible routes.
Before prioritising an upgrade
For LavaLoon, compare Hound survival with Balloon damage and spell timing. The needed upgrade depends on where the attack runs out of protection.
