Barbarian
Barbarians use one housing space and fight at close range. They are useful for small exposed buildings, but a group at the edge can disappear quickly under splash damage.
Plan the attack
- Check whether an outside building is covered by defenses before assigning Barbarians to it.
- Use a small group for a clear job and save the rest for another exposed target. Their low housing cost helps with cleanup coverage.
Common mistake
Deploying the whole group in one spot within splash range instead of spreading them across safe targets.
Works alongside
Archers can work behind Barbarians and reach buildings from farther away. Check defensive range rather than assuming the front line will hold.
Before prioritising an upgrade
Upgrade Barbarians when they are part of an army or an equipment interaction actually used. A level increase is less useful if they never enter the attack.
